The first trailer for Dredd was released on June 21, 2012 and was met with mixed feedback.
According to the GeekScholars Movie News they gave the preview an average score of “A-” on an A+ to F- scale, commenting that “the trailer does a good job of giving you a taste of the universe without giving away all its secrets”, and gave praise to Karl Urban saying that he “seems have done his homework and is embodying the character almost perfectly“.
Synopsis
“Dredd” takes us to the wild streets of Mega City One, the lone oasis of quasi-civilization on Cursed Earth. Judge Dredd (Karl Urban) is the most feared of elite Street Judges, with the power to enforce the law, sentence offenders and execute them on the spot – if necessary.
