Diablo III Playable Class: The Wizard

Wizard-maleReminiscent of the Sorceress and the Assassin class in terms of abilities, the Wizard class is a run-off-the-mill magic user in Diablo III. Wizards can wield the typical Fire, Ice, Lightning and Arcane Magic and have the capability to use familiar skills but don’t be fooled by these because Wizards also come with new tricks that will make fans of Blizzard’s franchise interested. Read on to know more about this new class and how powerful they can be in battling demons and monsters.

Wizards use Arcane Power as their source for magic abilities. There are skills in the Wizard’s arsenal of magic abilities called Signature Spells. These skills don’t cost any Arcane Power and can be used indefinitely.

The female Wizard’s background story reveals that her race originated in the Island Nation of Xiansai. Due to the female Wizard’s striking Asian features and heavy foreign accent during in-game short speeches, we can safely say that Xiansai is an Asian civilization. Presumably, the male Wizard’s story is similar to its female counterpart.

Wizards are notorious for inflicting massive amounts of magic damage to their enemies but they are also known to be vulnerable against physical attacks due to their weak armor state. Besides being masters in the use of Fire, Ice and Arcane Powers, Wizards also have the ability to manipulate light and time to teleport, deflect incoming attacks as well as create illusions.

Unlike Sorcerers and Mages who take precautions when using magic, Wizards don’t mind immersing themselves in arcane power and use their abilities recklessly in any kind of situation. They are considered as renegade spell casters who follow no rules but their own.
