Diablo 3 Monk Build and Skill Guide

Dexterity is the main attribute of Monks. This attribute gives them extra damage and dodge. It is important to acquire substantial gear as well as gems to increase the dexterity of Monks. Damage is always useful in any kind of build but what about dodge? While it may seem like not that important, dodge plays a vital role in building the Monk’s stats. In this article we will give you ways on how to build a Monk’s dodge so you can harness it efficiently in battle. Skills are also considered to be significant factors in the build so we cited examples of skills where they can be used in better ways.

The build should give you 30% extra dodge all the time as well as 30% chance to perform a critical hit. In addition, several very short power-ups where you get extra dodge are also featured in the build. With all 3 passives are active, you also get to have 46% extra dodge.

The remarkable thing about dodge is that it gets better the more you have of it. Whenever possible, you need to have at least 99% chance to dodge. Below are the additives when you have your dodge fully powered up:

Base (for any level 60 naked skill-less Monk)

+ Dodge bonus from Dex

+ Dodge bonus from items that improve dodge

+ 30% of your Crit chance

+ 30% from passive skills

+ 46% from power-ups.

The probability of the build being well over 100% is high if all abilities work as described, if dodge is additive or if the devs don’t spot this and nerf the combo. Keep in mind that you’ll only have enough Spirit to keep two of the power-ups working nearly all the time. Moreover, whenever you dodge, Backlash will blow up all enemies nearby.

Always remember that your Spirit generation is faster when you twist your spirit builders. Choose Fists of Thunder because it has a higher attack speed and generates spirit faster compared to other spirit builders. Here’s the sequence that you should follow:

1. Fist of Thunder

2. Fist of Thunder

3. Fist of Thunder procs a buff of 16% dodge for 2 seconds.

4. Fist of Thunder

5. Fist of Thunder

6. Exploding Palm (Strong Spirit)

After that, you will get the Exploding Palm effect (which causes enemies to bleed and other times explode enabling you to gain spirit) but you should deliver the sequence in a faster manner.

Some of skills that will cost you Spirit are Dashing Strike which is useful in starting fights and performing cheap dodge re-buffing, and Cyclone Strike-your agro ability. The Mystic Ally which enables passive generation of extra spirit is also included in the build.

For you to play well with this build, you should have agile fingers so practice pressing those keys now.

It didn’t take long before another exploit is revealed to players of Blizzard’s Diablo III. This time, the glitch favors the Barbarian class. In Blizzard’s forum site, the “God-Like” exploit is defined as quite (or very much) different from the Wizard class’ God-Mode because players don’t get to be invincible. Instead, it only allows a quick regeneration of 8 percent HP each time you are hit. Meaning to say, you can definitely die whenever you use it recklessly.

Now it may not seem much but the exploit can be useful for lower-level or less-geared players in surviving areas where they are likely to get killed (just sayin’). Below are the steps to activate the God-Like Exploit:

Step 1: Run Furious Charge with Dreadnought Rune on your build

Step2: use Furious Charge into opening cinematic (before it starts)

After following the steps correctly, the exploit should start working. The effect continues as long as you don’t die or use Furious Charge again.

Just follow the steps carefully and you should see the effect immediately but don’t be too hopeful though because not all players get to make it work. Nevertheless, it’s a good exploit worth trying so just give it a shot.

Diablo III Playable Class: The Wizard

Reminiscent of the Sorceress and the Assassin class in terms of abilities, the Wizard class is a run-off-the-mill magic user in Diablo III. Wizards can wield the typical Fire, Ice, Lightning and Arcane Magic and have the capability to use familiar skills but don’t be fooled by these because Wizards also come with new tricks that will make fans of Blizzard’s franchise interested. Wizards are notorious for inflicting massive amounts of magic damage to their enemies but they are also known to be vulnerable against physical attacks due to their weak armor state. Besides being masters in the use of Fire, Ice and Arcane Powers, Wizards also have the ability to manipulate light and time to teleport, deflect incoming attacks as well as create illusions.

Unlike Sorcerers and Mages who take precautions when using magic, Wizards don’t mind immersing themselves in arcane power and use their abilities recklessly in any kind of situation. They are considered as renegade spell casters who follow no rules but their own.

With the release of Blizzard’s Diablo III this year, new playable classes were introduced. One of these classes is the Monk class. Monks are proficient in fast melee attacks and utilize holy-light abilities to both heal teammates and damage enemies. Their melee attacks are reminiscent to the Assassin class from the previous game.

Monks use mantras which has similarities to Auras from the Paladin class. They utilize Spirit as the source for their holy attacks. Monks can perform combo attacks or skills that can be linked together to inflict greater damage or call upon special abilities.

Monks are able to channel divine power by way of sheer force of will. Healing waves, mantra as well as attacks empowered with holy might are just some of the abilities they have at their disposal. They can either specialize in unarmed combat or use a variety of weapons to increase their attack effects and help them survive during sieges. Their lightning-fast attack speeds make them an ideal class for very close range combat. In addition, Monks can deal short area-of-effect (AOE) damage using palm strikes and kicks. After over four years of waiting, the most awaited game in the world Diablo 3, finally has a release date. Blizzard has it official that 15.05.2012 will be the day we’ll get our hands on the hack-and-slash sequel.

The game had undergone a total of 15 patches from its beta phase last September which included changes in the gameplay system, UI, various balance, statistics, and some scrapped elements.

Starting May 15, Diablo fans can begin to login their Battle.net account, and then purchase and download Diablo 3.
