Are you visiting the UK anytime soon? Well, if you’re an AT&T customer, you may be happy to know that the company has signed with BSkyB’s The Cloud to offer 1GB per month of free WiFi for its customers. US customers who are visiting the UK will be allowed to connect to over 16,000 local WiFi hotspot locations using the WiFi International app. The new feature is targeted particularly at regular visitors to the UK whether they be there for business or pleasure.
However, the service isn’t truly free. AT&T customers who want to take advantage of the service must subscribe to an international data add-on in order to connect to the various WiFi hotspots. Practically speaking, this shouldn’t be much of an issue for users who travel often.
The Cloud is currently working in an effort to expand its network. The service’s network includes venues such as coffee shops, transport hubs, shopping centers, and other public areas.
The WiFi service helps mobile users access the Internet without having to worry about hefty data charges. To international AT&T customers, this should be welcomed Internet access.

The WiFi International app is available to AT&T customers on both the App Store and Google Play. For customers already using the international data plan, the free 1GB WiFi is now available for them to use.
